Competitive

Hamilton City Gymnastics offers a complete competitive pathway for Women's (WAG) and Men's (MAG) Artistic Gymnastics to compete locally, nationally and internationally.

We currently offer Steps (WAG) and Levels (MAG) 1-10 as set out by Gymnastics NZ.

Gymnasts need to be selected into the competitive squads at a testing day held in Term 2. The competitive season is in Term 1 to Term 3 each year where gymnasts compete in competitions locally and around New Zealand depending on the Step/Level.

Women compete in Floor, Beam, Bar and Vault, where Men compete in Floor, Vault, Parallel Bars, Single Rail Bar, Pommel Horse, and Rings.
